Tania Scott is a writer in the Christian Living genre of books. She also speak to churches promoting her upcoming book: Marriage Glue: Sticking to your vows ~ Even when it hurts. The purpose of her book is to help give unhappy Christian wives another (more strategic and positive) perspective about their marriage situation, and she gives them strategies along with lessons from the bible so they will come to know that God cares about their situation and He can be trusted to help rectify the problems. She also share her own experiences in marriage, and how God helped her avoid divorce, and live a happier, more fulfilled life.
1. What makes you stand out from your competition? (Think your uniqueness/ specialization/ strategy/personality)
Well, for one thing, I’m not a white male, marriage counselor, or pastor, which makes up a great majority of the Christian authors who write books to help marriages. I am an African American woman, who has personally gone through what I happen to be writing about. I’ve felt many of the same feelings that my audience is feeling. And I have over 30 years of experience in my own marriage to share. I also have such a passion for marriages and a lot of it has to do with the fact that I myself was raised in a single parent home. And I know that God called me to write this book. There are a lot of marriages that are ending, that didn’t have to end. And most of these divorces were initiated by women, and many simply because they weren’t happy.
2. Why did you decide to do a branding session?
I decided to do a branding session because I wanted to get some updated, beautiful photos of me, that my audience will see who I am and to make my website one that will resonate with my audience and feel welcoming to them.
3. What kind of images were you hoping to receive and how were you planning to use them?
I was hoping to get some colorful, feminine, photos that also reflect my personality, creativity, and inner strength. I wanted to have some photos that would reflect my absolute love of the outdoors!
4. What was your favorite part of your branding session?
Actually, my favorite part was the whole day! The part when I got my makeup done early that morning, dressing in my first outfit (and realizing that I looked fabulous!). Then, driving to the photoshoot location which was set up in the hills, next doing all of the poses and knowing the day was all about me and nothing and nobody else!
5. How did Brand Coaching help you get clear on your business goals?
The Confident Brand sessions have been great and I’m learning a lot! In one of the sessions, I got clear on the three areas in that I want to share my testimony and do mentoring courses in those 3 areas, in addition to promoting and selling my upcoming book.
6. Would you recommend a branding session for other small businesses?
Yes! Someone might feel like it’s too expensive. But I think that, in the long run, it’s worth the investment. I have a beautifully designed website that begs for beautiful photos. And also, in promoting my book, my courses, and speaking engagements, I’m going to need lots of images for my social media posts.
Oh wow, I was seaching for my book’s Landing page and stumbled across this! How wonderful this experience was and now I’ve just completed my second photo shoot with Brittney! I highly recommend it. And the best part is learning form Brittney, all of the branding, marketing, and business tips. She is a gem.
