FIND YOUR SPECIAL SAUCE
No matter what business you are in, you have to figure out how you are unique in your market and how you’re going to stand out. If you’re just doing what everybody else is doing, then you don’t have a business or a product that’s going to sell very well in the market because no matter what business you are, you have to figure out how you are unique in your market and how you’re going to stand out. If you’re just doing what everybody else is doing, then you don’t have a business or a product that’s going to sell very well in the market because things really determine what would do well.
You really have to hone in on what makes you special or unique as an artist. What makes you stand out? What makes your work stand out? And that takes a certain kind of like willingness to just kind of stand up for yourself. You have to be willing to say, I stand out like this!
USE YOUR SPECIAL SAUCE AS LEVERAGE
You gotta wrap it around an offer. You’ve got to figure out how to actually bring your special sauce into life in the market as something that is, that gets results, that is actionable, that is desirable. You’ve got to make something that people want to buy and it should be wrapped in your special sauce.
LEARN HOW TO SELL IT
You have to learn how to bring it into the world in a way where people understand the value of it, understand the value as it relates directly to them, how it can benefit them, how it can make their life better, or how it can solve a problem that they have.
When I think of sales. I think of it like a sailboat. We’re not selling the fabric on the sales. We’re not selling the finish on the wood or the type of screws that all hold the boat together. Those are the features. And nobody really cares about those.
Focus on the benefits of like what you can do for people, and how you can change their lives. They buy based on how can you change their life, how can you improve their life, Fix problems, People want a transformation. They want results.
Confidence plays a huge part in it. If you display confidence in what you’re offering, then the person on the other end receives that confidence and it gives it back to you. Letting go of the outcome and just being in the moment.
